It is recommended to use a small vacuum cleaner with a flat nozzle every day, focusing on cleaning the edges and bottom areas of the scratching board. Humidity control is the key to extending the service life of corrugated cat scratching boards. When the ambient humidity exceeds 60%, the paper fibers will absorb too much moisture, causing softening, and the scratching resistance may drop by more than 30%. In the rainy season in the south, special attention should be paid to moisture-proof measures. It is recommended to place a silica gel desiccant at the bottom of the scratching board, or use a storage box with a dehumidification function for storage. Structural maintenance requires the use of professional tools. When the scratching board is slightly dented, it can be restored by applying vertical pressure with a heavy object (such as a cat food bag) for 24 hours, but make sure that the pressure applied does not exceed 3kg/cm². For areas with severe wear, catnip essential oil can be applied topically to guide the cat to shift the scratching point.
